Offline Rewards in Task Bar of Ragnalis
Keep progress moving while the client is closed—without inventing fake timers or codes.
Official promise: progress while closed
Jagernaut Games’ launch messaging for Task Bar of Ragnalis explicitly calls out offline rewards that keep your adventure moving while the game is closed. That sentence matters. This title is not only a minimized-on-taskbar idle loop; it also expects you to step away, shut the client, and still collect something when you return.
This guide explains how to think about offline rewards using only documented systems: automatic battles, chests, experience, gold, equipment, a party of up to three, eight gear slots, nine-copy tier-ups, and the early patches that broke—or restored—reward pipelines. It will not invent exact minute caps, multiplier tables, or redeem codes. There is no codes system—see Codes.
Offline rewards versus minimized idle
Players mix two modes:
- Minimized / taskbar idle — the client is still running; heroes keep fighting on the desktop battlefield.
- Offline rewards — the client was closed; the game grants progress when you come back.
Both exist in the design language. They are not identical. Leaving the window open can produce live chests and stage pressure you can watch. Closing the client leans on the offline reward layer. If you treat them as the same, you will misread bugs: a soft-locked live map is not fixed by “waiting offline longer,” and a missing offline claim is not fixed by buying DLC.
Learn the live loop first in How to Play and First Look. Use this page when your question is specifically about closed-client progress.
What offline progress still depends on
Offline rewards cannot invent a party you never built. Before you trust long closed sessions:
- Your highest stable clear should be a stage you can beat, not a wall you never finish live
- Your three-hero lineup should have a readable frontline/backline plan (Party Builds)
- Your eight equipment slots should not be empty placeholders (Equipment Slots)
- Your inventory should protect near-complete nine-copy stacks (Stack Items)
If live play cannot clear, offline play usually cannot magically delete the same wall. Fix the wall with Beat Early Waves and Early Progression, then extend AFK length.
Patch-era reward failures (read this before blaming offline)
Early builds created “rewards stopped” stories that looked like offline bugs:
- v1.0.2 — chests that would not open, EXP that stopped, maps that stuck; anti-cheat soft bans from overly strict rules and timezone mismatch
- v1.0.2 emergency — players who Reset on 1.0.1 could lose EXP/rewards on the new character and were told to press Reset again
If offline claims look empty, first confirm the live reward pipeline works after updating. Full recovery steps: Troubleshooting and Patch Notes.
A healthy offline routine
- Update Steam to the latest build (currently documented here through v1.0.2).
- Run a short live session to prove chests and EXP still move.
- Park on a stage your party clears consistently.
- Sort inventory: equip upgrades, protect stacks, vendor true junk.
- Close the client when you truly stop playing—or leave it minimized if you want live taskbar combat instead.
- On return, claim/process rewards, then rebuild stacks before another long away block.
Desktop readability still matters for the claim moment. Use Taskbar Setup and the temporary text-size option from v1.0.1 under Controls so you do not mis-click rewards or miss a soft-ban notice.
What offline rewards are not
- Not a Steam Market income stream — Market support is indefinitely postponed (Roadmap)
- Not a reason to buy Complete DLC Pack on day one (Complete DLC Pack)
- Not Task Bar Hero offline macros, cubes, or rune trees (vs Task Bar Hero)
- Not a substitute for stacking and party roles while you wait for Cooking Buffs or Arcana Cards
Cooking (v1.1 target ~August 7) is described officially as collecting ingredients, preparing dishes at a tavern, and granting party buffs. Until that ships, do not invent offline cooking recipes here. Arcana Cards (v1.3 target ~August 21) similarly stay unnamed systems until Steam news fills them in.
Offline rewards and achievements
Several of the 19 Steam achievements track sustained progress. Offline claims help only if the underlying counters still increment after patches. Use Achievements for habits, Steam overlay for exact names, and never chase fake “achievement codes.”
Class and DLC notes for AFK planning
Free classes—Templar Knight, Priest, Witch, Gunner—are enough to design an AFK team. Paid Pirate/Overlord seats change which class-locked drops matter during the offline haul, but they do not create offline rewards from nothing. Evaluate with DLC and the DLC Cost Checker after the free loop works.
Storage Expansion helps if offline sessions refill bags faster than you can sort—see Storage Expansion—but buying bag space will not repair a soft-banned reward pipeline.
Decision table
| Situation | Do this |
|---|---|
| Live chests work; you need away time | Close client and rely on offline rewards |
| You want to watch fights | Keep client running on the taskbar |
| Nothing drops live or offline | Patch + Troubleshooting |
| Offline fills bags with junk | Improve filters via Items and stacking rules |
| You hoped to sell offline loot on Market | Stop—Market is postponed |

Offline rewards are a core Idle promise in Task Bar of Ragnalis, not a hidden cheat menu. Keep the live pipeline healthy, park on clears you already own, and let closed-client progress be a bonus on top of a party that already works.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Does Task Bar of Ragnalis have offline rewards?
Yes. Official launch text states offline rewards keep progress moving while the game is closed. Exact timers are not invented on this wiki.
Is minimized idle the same as offline rewards?
No. Minimized play keeps the client running on the taskbar. Offline rewards apply when the game was closed.
Why did my rewards stop after Reset?
A v1.0.1 Reset bug could break EXP/rewards; the emergency note was to press Reset again after updating—see [Patch Notes](/updates/patch-notes/).
Can offline rewards replace a weak party?
No. Stabilize clears live first with [Party Builds](/classes/party-builds/) and [Early Progression](/guides/early-progression/).
